Free Exposure Brief Terms

These terms apply when you request a Free Exposure Brief on this website. The Brief is a passive public-surface orientation — not paid assessment work.

Terms version: 2026-07-23

Effective date: 2026-07-23

Eligibility

The requester must own, operate, or be authorized to represent the submitted domains. The Free Exposure Brief is for business prospects evaluating public exposure. We may decline personal, spam, or out-of-scope requests.

Nature of the Brief

The Free Exposure Brief is a passive and non-invasive orientation memo based on publicly available information and normal public observation.

No authorization for active testing

Submitting a Free Exposure Brief request does not authorize vulnerability scanning, exploitation, authenticated testing, fuzzing, intrusive enumeration, or other active security testing. Paid assessment requires separate qualification, agreed scope, and written authorization with Rules of Engagement.

Verification

Truehat may verify, accept, reject, or request clarification before preparing the Brief. Rejection does not require a detailed explanation.

Delivery after acceptance

Accepted requests are normally delivered within 1–2 business days. Timing is indicative after verification and acceptance — not a guarantee from the instant every form is submitted.

Limitations

The Brief is not a penetration test, is not a security certification, does not guarantee completeness, does not confirm the absence of vulnerabilities, and may recommend a paid assessment.

No purchase obligation

Requesting or receiving a Brief does not oblige you to buy further work. You may stop after the memo or book a scope call if useful.

Data and confidentiality

We process the details you submit to verify, deliver, and follow up on the Brief, as described in the Privacy Policy. Form submit does not start security tooling against your systems.

Misuse

Truehat may reject suspicious, abusive, third-party, incomplete, or misleading requests.

Liability boundaries

The Free Brief is provided without charge as an orientation courtesy. To the extent permitted by law, Truehat is not liable for decisions made solely on the memo, for incompleteness of a passive look, or for issues outside its stated method and scope.
